Helpful tips.
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator. It will raise your heartbeat and help burn calories.
- Park far away. It will lower your stress and the extra walk will do you good.
- Talk a walk during lunch. Pack your lunch from home and eat outside. When you are finished, talk a 20-minute walk around the office complex.
- Buy a pedometer. Set a daily goal of 10,000 steps or more.
- Walk the dog each day. It will be good for both you and fido.
- Get outside and pull weeds, sweep the sidewalk, or tend a garden. The fresh air will also help relax your mind.
- Aim for 30 minutes of exercise per day to start, even if you have to break it up into three, 10-minute chunks.
- If you already belong to a gym, make sure to work in interval training to vary the intensity. Higher intensity workouts burn more belly fat.
