On October 17, 2007, the Orlando GFM team joined by Marcy Ready, DGFM Polk/Orlando/Jacksonville, and Kim Christine, National GFM, took the stage for a first of it's kind event. The two-hour Amazing Workout featured all 7 Les Mills programs and was attended by close to 100 members!!!
That's just the beginning...the event was set up to benefit Autism Awareness, a cause close to home for Altamonte's GFM, Dana Gomez, whose youngest child has the disease. The annual benefit walk for a cure was designed to raise awareness. Representatives from Cure Autism Now joined us, setting up a table with pamphlets and informational material just outside the Group
Fitness Room. Without having to ask for a single donation, the generous members and guests gave close to $500 in just two short hours. Members from 3 other surrounding area LFF locations also braved the heavy rush hour traffic to be in attendance and show their support.
The Sales and Ops teams contributed to the success of the event, with COM Jason Gonzalez going the extra mile and taking two whipped cream pies to the face that were won through a charity raffle.
An amazing time was truly had by all!
